Memo Pad HD tablet is a 7-inches low priced HD display tablet from the Taiwan-based company, which comes packed with a quad-core processor and runs on latest Android operating system. The company, for this time, targeted at low budget customers. The company unveiled its two 8GB and 16GB models with little price variation.
Technical Specifications
Both the devices are the improved version of 7-inch Memo Pad, which was brought in the market, earlier this year. This 302gm Asus device comes in four color options including white, black, pink and green.
It also features best quality stereo speakers with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology for enhancing your music entertainment.
Display and camera specifications
The Memo Pad sports a 7-inches high definition IPS touch panel for vibrant and crispy imaging with improved 1,280 x 800 pixels of screen resolution to its predecessor Memo Pad, which was carrying 1,024 x 600 pixels. The IPS technology serves the user giving 170-degree wide viewing angles.
The device sports two cameras – one 5 MP rear facing camera and the other 1.2 MP front-facing high definition, capable to capture 720p HD videos.
OS, processing unit and memory
This is one of the low priced, best tablets from Asus, that runs on Google's latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and houses an ARM based quad-core Cortex 7 processing unit. It also has 1GB of RAM with 8GB/16GB of on board storage.
Connectivity & battery backup
The HD tablet supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n as well as GPS for connectivity. It also has a microSD card slot for memory expansion and also 16GB free ASUS WebStorage, up to 1 year. You can edit, view, create and share MS office documents online, using Asus WebStorage Office.
The company packed the tablet with a lithium polymer battery, capable to provide you up to 10 hours backup.
Pricing and availability
Asus bringing two models of Memo Pad 7, first 8GB model will be priced $129 (Rs 7,314/-), and $149 (Rs 8,448/-) for its 16GB model. Both the models are likely to available in international market, in July.
Asus is going to entice their customers by offering many attractive devices at low price range. The company also unveiled an Intel powered multimedia tablet Asus Memo PadTMFHD 10 with Full HD display and Hyper Threading technology for improving graphics.
