Zenbook Infinity from Asus is the first ultrabook PC with Gorilla Glass 3 lid
Overview of Asus Zenbook Infinity
According to tech experts, Asus for this time showcased many awesome tech gadgets that are ready to hike tough competition, in computer market. The Zenbook Infinity with its aesthetic built-up and high-end features is one of them. Though the company has not revealed all technical information about this product, but whatever we received, suffice to depict it and raising more anticipations.
Physical built-up
With pretty cool external appearance, the Asus ultrabook puts on very less weight and having just 15.5 mm thin chassis. I have read that the company claims it to be 14% slimmer than its previous Zenbook versions, which is true for its far earlier models like ASUS Zenbook UX51Vz-DH71. But when comparing it to its former model prime UX21A, I found the new device to be 6.5mm thicker, as the UX21A was carrying just 9mm thick chassis at rear and 3mm at front side. You can check it out at the official link of Asus Zenbook UX21A. Since the other physical measurements still not available for the new device so, we have to wait for other comparisons.
Its lid made up of a Gorilla Glass 3 is the highlight of the device, which got crowd's attention at the mega-event in Taiwan. The device is also expected to carry a strong battery inside and has a backlit keyboard.
Technical specification and features
Display
The Zenbook Infinity sports a 13.3 inches IPS multi touch display and 2,560 x 1,440 pixels of ultra high screen resolution, sufficient to offer ultimate viewing experience to its customers. Its back is built up with ASUS's radial brushed finish and Gorilla Glass 3.
Power unit
This Windows 8 device will be energized by Intel's 4th generation 28W dual-core Haswell: Core i7 4558U processing chip with Intel's Iris 5100 graphics. Such nice combination is claimed to perform at the best level. Still no information has been available on random access memory (RAM) and internal storage of device.
Network connectors
The Asus machine comes with a mini display port, two USB 3.0 ports and an SD card reader. Again need to wait for the more information.
Pricing and release
Yet, there is no official announcement has been made from Asus, about the price of this ultrabook. But after analyzing the high-end features of this machine and retrospection of earlier Zenbooks, like Asus Zenbook Prime UX21A which was released at the price tag of $1430, the new books can't be expected to be lower than $1850 (around Rs 100,000).
This ultrabook is being anticipated to be released at the end of 3rd quarter of this year, thus the detailed specifications and pricing will also be announced later.
Conclusion
The time, the Computex 2013 event witnessed the huge efforts from Asus team when they shown off their new products with amazing innovative features. While analyzing the list of top three gadgets of this company, I found Asus Transformer Book Trio on the top, which comes as combo of three devices and having two processors as well as dual operating system, and at the second position, there is Transformer Pad Infinity, which is claimed to be the world's first Tegra-4 Transformer and having capability to push 4K video streaming to a large digital display via HDMI out. On the next level, I found our domain ultrabook, comes with a Haswell processor as well as a Gorilla Glass lid.

The company, for this time, unveiled excellent varieties of convertibles, ultrabooks, monitors as well as revamped versions of tablets. Not only with Infinity, but the company has experimented with their few other products also. Read about two forthcoming future smartphone technologies, which will definitely change your views relating to existing cell phones.

The most innovative transparent smartphones with dual-sided multi-touch display are coming to the market

Transparent phone

Polytron, a Taiwan-based global system integration firm has shown an almost transparent cell phone, whose circuit board, battery and memory card are visible from outside. Its marketing has already been started by the company.

Inside

The transparent wires are used to carry electric current through the device. The company calls it Switchable glass technology. The handset will be having dual-sided multi-touch display, at both front and back sides. It uses a conductive OLED screen. For displaying images, it uses crystal molecules. While the phone is switched off, the specified crystal molecules get aligned to form a milky composition. And as soon as the device gets switched on, molecules realign forming text, images and icons, just like Sci-Fi fiction gadgets appear in Hollywood movies.

There are some parts like SIM card and SD card that are still required to be made transparent. Its dark glass cover will be covering the non transparent microphone, camera and batteries.

Polytron's general manager Sam Yu specifies that - they are making a very small sized lithium ion battery for the device, which would not be noticeable.

Though this transparent prototype is not in full functional, right now, but it is expected that such phones will be available commercially by end of 2013. And you will be able to look through such devices, very easily.

Crackproof Sapphire screens for smartphones

If you want a crack proof screen that should not be broken even when dropped on a hard surface, such dream is coming out to be true in near future. For making such far-fetched dream true, the scientists are working on a material named – Sapphire. It is likely to be cheap up to such extend that it can easily replace currently used iconic Corning Gorilla Glass, of your existing smartphones' screen. So, the next generation smartphones will be scratch-resistant as well as unbreakable, in future.

Ongoing progress

As per report from MIT-Technology review, many companies including GT Technologies are working on sapphire sheets, to make them much thinner than less or near the millimeter-thick glass, which is being used now on mobile phones.

The manufacturing companies are also trying to reduce manufacturing cost of sapphire. For this, they are applying the strategies, which are being used for reducing the cost of making crystalline silicon for solar cells.

The companies like Rubicon Technology in US, Monocrystal in Russia, and Sapphire Technology in South Korea are the other in pioneers list, those are working on lowering the cost of sapphire.

No doubt, after getting success, the technologies from these companies will be accepted by a huge market and they are going to gain their huge market share.

Let us see who wins this race and captures the largest segment of this future market.

How Google+ comments in Blogger.com is most helpful for bloggers: sharing my personal experience

See how recently introduced Google+ comments feature in Blogger.com helped me by reducing a lengthy comments editing procedure to just a few simple steps, on single page. Here I am sharing my personal experience with you.

While reviewing my status as a blogger on Blogger.com, I find myself very new to this platform. By going through experts' reviews on blogging and about blogger.com, I keep on expediting my blogging skills. Recently, I found a new Google+ comments feature in my dashboard's comments section. After going through its introduction, I found it useful enabled it.

It was good to see all readers' comments under their relevant post. But still there was something more, which was supposed to be happened:

My personal experience with comments of Google+

My unintentional mistake

As usual, after posting my next article on world's first 4G Windows 8 Toshiba Portege Z10t convertible laptop, which is supposed to be launched this month, I shared it on my social platforms and various Google communities added with a comment. But by mistake, in comment section, I wrote that the tablet is now available to buy online.

After few hours, while re-checking this post, I realized that mistake. Since the information was wrong, I took it seriously.

How Google+ comments helped me to solve this problem

Now, rectifying those comments by navigating each community and finding out that particular shared post can be a cumbersome task for anyone. Suddenly, I thought to try editing comments directly from comments section.

So, I logged into in my blog and viewed that post through dashboard. I scrolled-down to end of the post to reach the comment section.

Google+ comments section to add, edit or reply the readers' comments. You can also handle your Google+ communities shares directly from here

In comments list, I clicked the options menu and then edit on the top of popup menu (as shown in figure) of a community comment box, which  resulted opening of an edit textbox with comment I had passed earlier to that community. I changed it and clicked the save button to accomplish the task. I repeated the same procedure for every community, where that article was shared by me.

For satisfaction, I cross checked that comment by navigating few communities, by clicking their hyperlinks on each comment section and found my problem solved.

Some other features of Google+ comments in Blogger.com

  • It enables you watching all readers' comments to your post, at one place by just opening your post.
  • It also shows readers' direct comments notifications (at your blog) in your Gmail account notifications list.
  • Blogger is provided facility to reply a comment from both – his Gmail account or from blog comments section. And your replies in Gmail account also reflect in associated blogger comment box.
  • A blogger can directly respond from here - to a query or comment passed by reader, to his post shared in a Google+ community.
  • It is helpful for readers to comment and connect with their circles.
  • A user can comment publically or privately to their circles at Google+.
  • Both blogger and a visitor have options to view comments either from everyone or only from those people whom they have in their Google+ circles.

Since I am new to blogger.com, it was an awesome experience for me. May be that you know other easier ways to sort out this task. If so, please do share it with us in below comment box.
